I decided to give my girlfriend Sarah a city trip for her birthday. After a long search I decided to visit Salzburg in Austria.

Salzburg is a really old city with beautiful old churches and old buildings. The location on the Salzach and the near to the mountains is really fantastic. Salzburg is very famous for the the composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. But enough about the past. I want to tell you more about our stay and our favorite places in Salzburg.

On our first day we took a walk around the old town centre with its small roads with small shops, cafés and restaurants. One of the most famous shopping places is the “Getreidegasse”, where you can find the typical shops like H&M, Zara and other big labels. Beside this big street there are small streets with small botiques and start up labels. There you can also find shops, which sell delicacies from the region, for example beer liqueur, handmade sweets and oil. For me this streets were more interesting than the typical shopping streets.

Next, I want to introduce two restaurants, which we tested. We find both of them on TripAdvisor, because of their good ratings. The first was the Hot Dog restaurant Hans W Salzburg. They serve self-made sausages in different variations. Even me as a vegetarian found a Hot Dog with a delicate tofu sausage. The combination of the homemade sausages, sauces and the simple bread was really tasty. I can really recommend the Hans W.

The second restaurant was the burger restaurant Ludwig. My girlfriend and I are big burger fans and tried a lot of burgers on our city trips. But this burger were absolutely amazing. I had the “Vegan Burger”, which is served with grilled champignons, hummus, pesto, tomato, avocado and onions. Such a crazy combination I never had before. My girlfriend was really happy with her classic hamburger with extra ham. The homemade Ice-Teas were also very refreshing. The total package was really impressive. Who wants to eat good burger in Salzburg should definitely join the Ludwig.

But enough foodporn. On our second day we climbed up the hill to the “Festung Hohensalzburg” and the museum of modern art. The view from the museum was very impressing. At the museum and later in the city center we took a few outfitshoots for our instagram accounts. I hope you enjoy our outfits.
